How we handle information when you use wrkin.space.

This policy describes how wrkin.space (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information when you use our hosted service or visit our website. If you self-host the software, you control the data on your servers; this policy applies primarily to our hosted offering at wrkin.space.
Information we collect
- Account data — name, email address, and authentication credentials you provide when you sign up or log in.
- Team content — tasks, documents, messages, files, and other data you and your teammates create in wrkspaces.
- Usage & technical data — basic logs (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) used for security, debugging, and reliability.
- Billing data — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe; we receive subscription status and limited billing metadata, not full card numbers.
How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the service
- Authenticate users and enforce team permissions
- Process subscriptions and send transactional emails
- Monitor abuse, secure accounts, and troubleshoot errors
- Respond to support requests you send us
We do not sell your personal information.
Storage & retention
Hosted data is stored on infrastructure we operate or contract with. We retain account and team content while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward so you can export data or reactivate. You may request deletion of your account by contacting hello@wrkin.space.
Sharing
We share information only:
- With service providers who help us run the product (e.g. hosting, email, Stripe for payments)
- When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
- With your teammates, according to permissions you set within the product
Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the product.
Your choices
You can update profile information in settings, leave teams, or delete your account by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability). Email hello@wrkin.space to exercise them.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
