Terms of Service
Please read these terms before using wrkin.space.
Effective date: May 27, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the hosted wrkin.space service and website (the “Service”), operated by the wrkin.space project (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Accounts
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@wrkin.space if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. You grant us a limited license to host, store, back up, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you and your teammates. You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to the content you upload and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
- Attempt to breach security, probe systems without permission, or disrupt the Service
- Upload malware or interfere with other users’ access
- Resell or sublicense the hosted Service without our written consent
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or pose risk to the Service or other users.
Plans & billing
Paid plans are billed per team on a subscription basis through Stripe. Fees are shown at checkout and on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in team billing settings or via the customer portal. Refunds are handled at our discretion except where required by law.
Self-hosted software
If you deploy open-source or self-hosted builds, separate license terms for that software may apply. These Terms govern the hosted Service at wrkin.space; your responsibilities for self-hosted deployments (including security, backups, and compliance) remain yours.
Availability & changes
We strive for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify features, limits, or pricing with reasonable notice where practical. Beta or early-access features may change or be withdrawn.
Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
Limitation of liability
Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100), except where liability cannot be limited by applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms or prolonged inactivity on free accounts. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete data after a retention period described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in courts located in Illinois, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
